CONVENTION OF WORKERS, NEW DELHI-26.05.2015
Dear Comrades,
An
All India Convention of Workers was held under the banner of the Joint Platform
of all Central Trade Unions of the Country along with Independent National
Federations of all Sectors and Service establishments.
The
Convention took serious note on the attack on working class of the country by
the Government. The reforms initiated in the labor laws, Scraping of social
security schemes, Uncontrolled price rise, Denying the minimum wages as per the
recommendation of Indian Labour Conference, Hiking the FDI in Defence, Bank,
Insurance, Railways, etc, Aggressive move to disinvestment in PSUs, Changes in
Land Acquisition Act, etc are some of the example for the continuation of anti
working class policies of the Central Government.
The
Convention unanimously proposed Nation Wide Strike on 2nd September
2015.
The
Convention was attended by the following Central Trade Unions, National
Federations:
BMS,
INTUC, AITUC, HMS< CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, UTUC, LPF, All India
Federations of Banks, Insurance, Coal, Port, Transport, Electricity, Defence,
Railways, Central Government and State Government Employees, etc. Secretariat Members of the Confederation of
Central Government Employees & Workers stationed at New Delhi participated on
behalf of Confederation of CG Employees & Workers.
