In this regard we brought to the notice of the Department that in Railways it was agreed to extend Transport Allowances to the railway employees by continuing to retain the passes issued to the employees to board the train for local journey and the order is awaited.           Now the Railway issued the order to clarify the position on grant of Transport Allowances to Railway employees. In which it has been clarified that the Transport Allowance be made admissible to those employees who are already availing the Residential card Pass (RCP). A copy of the order is attached herewith for you ready reference.
